Why it exists

There is a growing need for in-person integrative medicine learning that goes beyond theory. The Smart Human® Health Summit was created as a space for clinicians and experts to share what they know — and in its second year, it widens the lens to the foundations of human health: mind, body, environment and evolution.

Her research has been published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Perspectives in Biology and Medicine, Evolutionary Anthropology, and elsewhere, and it’s been covered by the BBC, NPR, PBS, The Guardian, The Atlantic, and Le Temps. She has written for The Washington Post, Scientific American, Discover, and Aeon, among others, has a chapter in A Most Interesting Problem: What Darwin’s Descent of Man Got Right and Wrong About Human Evolution (Princeton University Press), and has a book with Viking/Penguin coming in June 2027.
